I’m Frederic Simon, founder and head coach at Yousuli. I coach triathletes and endurance athletes using a mix of sports science, biomechanics, and behavior change—so your training creates speed without wasting time.
My story

Little
It would be a mistake to tie your identity to one event; but some moments do change how you see the world.
When I was about six months old, I fell into a pool and was found about five minutes later. I survived by pushing off the bottom to breathe. For years, the wall of that pool was the only thing I dreamed about.
Later, I grew up extremely active and found my way into sports: swimming, skiing, riding, and combat sports.

Journey
Perhaps because I didn’t feel protected from danger as a child, I learned early to look for freedom elsewhere and created tools to help cope with hardships and SA. I chased adventure and, when I could, escaped into the wilderness. As a teenager I set out to travel, and those years shaped me more than any plan ever could—through good and bad experiences across India, China, Canada, and much of Europe.

Coaching
After about ten years in martial arts—and two years training in a remote village in China; I began coaching MMA and self-defense in 2005 at BLCU (Beijing). My love for combat sports never changed, but my move into endurance sport showed me something important: it can be both therapeutic and widely accessible.
Since then, I’ve stayed on a simple mission: keep learning, so the people I coach waste less time and get better outcomes

Athlete
I’ve always been more drawn to training than racing. I like long projects that test biomechanics and the limits of the mind. In 2015, I completed a marathon every week across China and was featured in a national documentary.
Later during covid years, I took on the 7030+: 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, and 21 km run - repeated for 101 consecutive days. I have also crossed seas in open water swims, from Italy to France for example, or across the smaller yet mythical Galilee. And there will be more challenges along the way.
If that interests you here is non-exhaustive list of some more things. To be updated.
