Yousuli Physiological Assessment

Service Description

What is it? This assessment is designed to identify physiological threshold, and trends through a structured testing protocol where intensity, heart rate, vo2, respiration rate, muscle oxygen saturation, and total hemoglobin are measured. This test is usually conducted on a stationary bike, or on a treadmill, but can be customized to fit a wider range of activity. Time frame? This core of the this test takes a bit over an hour, and assessment protocol may slightly differ. Usually it is conducted in a 4-1-4 format where an intensity is maintained for four minutes, a minute of full rest is given, and the same intensity is replicated for another four minutes, before moving to a higher intensity. It will take 72 hours to review footage and data and send you a PDF with all findings. Frequency? Three to four times a year for athletes. Once a year, to once every few years for individuals wanting to assess good functioning of metabolic function (we find that many people aren't able to utilize properly their aerobic system, and this assessment can serve as a guideline). For whom? This assessment helps identify the good functioning, and the potential limiters in exercise performance, from poor strength, breathing technique, poor cardiovascular strength, poor mitochondrial function, etc. It can help athletes assess and monitor correct physiological and training zone, and insure that the training response meets the adaptation they seek. This can be highly beneficial for all athletes on any distance. For non-athlete this assessment can bring to light some metabolic dysfunction, and propose strategies to improve results over time. Like the other assessment, there are no age limit to take this assessment. Discounts? A 50% discount is applied from the second assessment onward.
